Miles — Demo video

Miles: a self-improving music agent for anything, one MCP away. Miles is Claude Code for music. You give it a brief like “tense trailer cue, 90 BPM, C minor” and it produces a finished track. Today we gave it the thing most agents lack: a way to check its own work and decide what to change about itself. How it improves itself. Each candidate version of Miles renders a batch of briefs, spread across four parallel workers. A contract checker grades every track on whether it delivered, whether the tempo and key are right, whether the stems are clean, and how close it sounds to reference tracks pulled from YouTube. A Diagnoser reads the failures, and a Coach running on Crusoe (Nemotron-3-Super) writes a patch to Miles’s own instructions. A Gatekeeper reruns the training briefs and keeps the patch only if the score goes up. Every attempt is logged in a ledger. What happened. The loop tried 6 patches, kept 0, and blocked 3 regressions (8/16 dropped to 6, 5 and 5). We then ran 16 held-out briefs it had never seen. The patch the gate rejected scored 2/16, while the current Miles scored 4/16, so the gate was right. An agent that refuses to make itself worse is the foundation N+1 needs. The coach cost about $0.05. Try it. One command adds Miles to Claude Code as an MCP tool (make_music). Every beat it makes shows up for review in a DAW-style page with its check results.
