NurseMate is an AI co-worker for nurse advocates, the nurses who sit between patients, doctors and insurers. It was built from a working nurse advocate’s own list: she was stuck on hold, routed wrong by phone menus, slowed by an internal AI that can’t search the web, and getting call transcripts she couldn’t trust. NurseMate’s phone agent works the insurer’s menu, takes the callback instead of holding, and transcribes both sides live. Every fact it keeps is backed by a word-for-word quote. Claude searches the web from inside Snowflake for resources like furnace repair aid, finds trusted fax numbers, and searches old notes in plain language. At close-out it recovers unlogged minutes, writes notes from evidence, and audits each claim against the plan rules and the Medicare navigation codes. Snowflake is the governed record. Role-based row access and masking hide identity from managers, and the AI agents only ever see a patient token. A routing table chooses Sonnet, Haiku or no model for each task, and records why.
