We've all been there: lying in bed at night, eyes closed, but unable to sleep because our brains are replaying past mistakes—moments where we failed to fight back against verbal attacks, wishing for a chance to go back and fix it. Checkpoint was created to realize this fantasy. By simply telling your story to Gemini 3, our prototype uses Nano Banana to instantly generate a personalized 8-bit game scene and dialogue. It allows you to travel back to that specific moment, re-experience the conflict, and simulate different endings. Underlying this simple interaction is the principle of CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), specifically 'Imagery Rescripting.' By actively choosing new, healthier responses in a safe simulation, users can break the cycle of regret and gain closure."
