Into Place

Generic AI video tools generate a place, not remember one, inventing landmarks and applying the same nostalgic filter everywhere. Into Place solves this by putting real place archives at the center of the pipeline instead of a single prompt. Users curate sourced historical photos and maps, or contribute their own, choose a story direction, and direct every beat, storyboard frame, and transition, while fal models assist rather than author: Claude Sonnet 4.5 writes the narrative, SAM 3 masks archive photos for local grading, and models like nano-banana 2 and Kling v3 Turbo Standard generate storyboard frames and animate them into video. Every generated frame is explicitly marked as AI generated and is never confused with the real archive, and the final Journey Book records every source, license, and contributor alongside the finished film. The result is a short creative film directed by a person and grounded in a real place's actual memory, not an AI's guess at what that place should look like.
