TasteGuard is a design system conscience for the agent era, built as a Cursor plugin on top of a stdio MCP engine any coding agent can use. It catches semantic drift (off-scale spacing, hardcoded colors, broken component states) that linters and visual regression miss, and classifies each finding as regression, evolution, or platform constraint with plain-language reasoning. For brownfield repos, /scan-design-drift audits existing code and MCP apply_reconciliation applies fixes; hooks catch drift the moment an agent writes UI/code. A Figma token bridge keeps Variables and code aligned; a GitHub Action PR scan blocks regressions for manual edits and anything that slipped through. One engine, four surfaces, sync, scan, guard at generation, enforce on merge.
