This hackathon is for developers, technical founders, and startup teams to build with GPT-6 Astra – the world’s most intelligent and aligned model. Meet the OpenAI team and compete for a chance to demo onstage for a panel of judges including Urvashi Barooah (Redpoint), Pranav Reddy (Conviction), Romain Huet (OpenAI), swyx (AIE), and Lan Xuezhao (Basis Set)!

Prizes:

1st place - $50,000 credits + DevDay 2026 tickets
2nd place - $25,000 credits
3rd place - $15,000 credits
All finalists - 1 year of ChatGPT Pro

Rules:

Show us what you can ship with GPT-6 Astra's new capabilities, whether that’s something new or a feature for your existing startup. All work must be built during the hackathon and submitted as a public open source repository - existing product code does not qualify.

Applications reviewed on a rolling basis & space is limited. Maximum teams of four. All attendees must submit an application to be approved.
