The idea is simple, we give in a scene, and a style of our choice. I have a pre loaded description, and and example image for Gemini to learn a design philosophy from. I model the characters involved, with descriptions, and panel numbers, so they are consistent. Further, the text is handled as a design problem. I have a slideshow style experience of the comic strip, which makes the user more involved in the scene, without compromising on text. As I keep adding more design philosophies, this project could grow bigger. We could also have many tweaks to make the slideshow experience more natural. We could generate entire comic books from this project, one scene at a time.

Our project is about changing your hairstyle with the nano banana model. We've all had the pain point where we want to try a new hairstyle, but don't want to actually take the risk to get it cut. Now AI can just help you find the perfect hairstyle, without the risk. The entire image processing pipeline is actually quite in-depth. It takes about 60 seconds to generate a hairstyle because we're doing multiple pre-processing steps. First, it's relighting the reference image, and it's also pre-processing your own image by deleting your hair first. And then it's going to run a bunch of nano banana calls in parallel. And we actually have a VLM as a judge to find the best picture out of multiple parallel calls. We also built a data engine to curate the dataset for hairstyles by pulling images from Pinterest, hairstyles.com, where we pulled over 5,000 images and run VLM to do the data filtering and judge to make sure only high-quality images with good aesthetics are kept for the users.

Specifically: Gemini 2.5 Pro analyzes the input photo, and generates prompts for each person or object detected Gemini 2.5 Flash Preview takes in those prompts to generate Chibi images From each of those images, FAL Hunyuan3D generates a 3D mesh file. Gemini 2.5 Flash Preview also takes in all of those images and composes them into an “Artists’ Impression” scene suggesting how the user could arrange their 3D-printed models. We then transfer the 3D mesh files to Bambu Studio for on-the-spot printing. In future iterations, this step will be automated as well.
