SplitReceipt is a local-first shared expense coordination app built for real group spending, not just hackathon screenshots. It turns a messy receipt into a shared expense, computes who owes whom, generates the minimum set of settlement transfers, and lets users confirm repayments through direct actions or natural-language prompts. SplitReceipt targets a recurring, real-world pain point: shared spending between roommates, travel groups, event organizers, and small teams. The core value goes beyond the hackathon because it reduces both the arithmetic burden and the coordination burden of paying people back.
