Gemini SecureFix is an AI-powered security assistant for Visual Studio Code that helps developers detect and fix vulnerabilities in real time. Software flaws often cause costly breaches, and manual reviews or external tools are slow and resource-heavy. Gemini SecureFix solves this by integrating Google’s Gemini AI directly into the developer’s workflow. With one command, it scans code, identifies vulnerabilities, and generates a secure patch, explanation, references (OWASP/CWE), and a unit test. In our demo, it fixed a Java SQL Injection by replacing an insecure Statement with a safe PreparedStatement. This proof of concept shows how AI can accelerate secure coding, reduce human error, and make every developer a security champion.
