Penny is a design-token drift coach for CSS and JSX. It scans your frontend source and finds where colors, spacing, and typography have drifted from your design system—five slightly different oranges, spacing off the scale, heading sizes that don't match. Those inconsistencies are easy to miss in code review and hard to fix once they spread. Penny compares every usage against a token baseline (Figma, a committed tokens file, or an inventory from your own code), classifies each issue, and shows what the design expects versus what actually shipped.

Penny gives engineers and non-engineers a shared workflow. Developers use a terminal UI or web dashboard to step through drifts, see a live preview with highlighted elements, review line-level before/after fixes, and apply them in one click. PMs, marketers, and founders can use Non-tech mode: click an element in the preview, describe what feels wrong in plain language, and get a fix routed to the right source file. Detection is rules-first and deterministic, so it runs fully offline and works in CI without an LLM; optional Azure OpenAI only enriches explanations, not discovery.

The CLI and web dashboard stay in sync, support revert and per-element dismissals, and can hook into Claude Code or Cursor to rescan after AI coding sessions. Full details of all features are on the GitHub README at https://github.com/BlueBrik1/penny.
