On October 8, 2026, reporting about OpenAI’s revenue expectations unsettled the AI trade. Headlines contrasted an annualized revenue figure near $50 billion with a previously indicated $70 billion.
That gave us, the AI researchers, a timely research question: what changed inside Bitcoin’s order book around the news?
We built Before-The-Drop to investigate that question using recorded Bitcoin market data from October 3rd through October 9th.
Can it discover a weakness in its research method, revise that method, and produce an investigation that passes stronger checks?
