In disaster zones, every minute matters. Drones can deliver supplies and locate survivors, but today responders must manually program waypoints or rely on technical operators -- a slow process when lives are on the line.

AeroAid solves this by supercharging the industry-standard PX4 autopilot and MAVLink protocols with GPT-5. Instead of coding waypoints, responders simply give high-level instructions like: “Survey the flooded zone and deliver supplies to the school gym.” AeroAid interprets the intent, decomposes it into subtasks, and generates validated PX4/MAVLink missions that drone fleets can execute immediately.

Our system integrates natural language processing, mission validation, and multi-drone coordination into a single pipeline. In simulation, drones receive GPT-5 generated missions, execute them, and stream telemetry (position, battery, wind, speed) back to a central dashboard for situational awareness. We demo using Gazebo Sim.
