GenealogyAI autonomously traces French family trees by navigating historical civil registry archives, given a name, a town, and a birth year.

The problem it solves: tracing French ancestry today requires hours of manual work, and it requires searching fragmented departmental archive websites one by one, identifying the right register, opening scanned images, and reading 19th-century handwriting. No existing tool (MyHeritage, FamilySearch, Geneanet) does the full loop: autonomous navigation of raw archive systems + OCR on unindexed manuscript images + recursive extraction. Our tool does all three in a single query.
