Seedling is a multi-tribe civilization simulator powered by AI agents. It explores a central question: "How does a society's willingness to change its own rules shape its long-term trajectory?"

There are four tribes being simulated: The Keepers, The Moderates, The Adapters, and The Free. Each start with distinct governance rules and different levels of rule mutability. Every agent is an autonomous LLM-powered individual with its own personality, values, memories, and relationships, reconstructed from database state before each interaction.

Agents deliberate in shared-thread round-robin councils, propose and vote on rule changes, form partnerships, and respond to random events (famine, discovery, conflict). Cultural values drift across generations as children inherit blended values from parents with mutations. The simulation compresses years of societal evolution into minutes, streaming results in real-time via SSE.
