In the final minutes before a subterranean global museum collapses beneath a flooded Earth, Elias, its last archivist, races to preserve humanity’s greatest masterpiece inside a five-pound extraction pod. Following him is Milo, an eight-year-old boy who tries to save the museum in a different way: by drawing every artifact in his weathered sketchbook.

After Milo accidentally destroys a collection of ancient scrolls, Elias harshly sends him away and succeeds in loading the priceless painting into the pod. But when Milo becomes trapped beneath a collapsed catwalk, Elias must choose between the object he has devoted his life to protecting and the child he may still be able to save.

Elias abandons the masterpiece, dives into the flooded ruins, and rescues Milo. In the final seconds, he places Milo’s sketchbook inside the pod instead—a record not only of lost history, but of the two people who survived it together. The Last Curator is a science-fiction drama about legacy, sacrifice, and the choices that reveal what humanity is truly worth preserving.
