Buying a home is stressful, and negotiating mortgage rates is often confusing and opaque. Banks want to evaluate customers fairly based on background, credit history, and loyalty, but customers often feel rates are inflexible and lack transparency. Our challenge is to build a Game Of Loans(:)) chatbot that guides customers step-by-step through background and credit checks, computes an initial mortgage rate, and enables transparent negotiation with lender and loyalty agents. We used Convex as the backend database, Traycer for tracing analytics, Daytona for sandbox testing, Cline for code generation, Inkeep for the agentic workflow framework, and CodeRabbit for automated PR reviews. This combination of tools makes mortgage discussions faster, data-driven, transparent, and customer-friendly.
